Perzec

So, I just finished taking a few self-portraits, and now I'm pondering which of them to actually publish. Because for the first time, I have done a couple of completely nude shots. Nothing sexual, but it's definitely nudity.

Now, I don't really have a problem with nudity. I don't mind letting people see my naked body, not really. The question is, will nude, artistic shots of me be considered inappropriate among employers, or will they understand that it's art? That is the question I am pondering at the moment. Now, don't get me wrong, most employers wouldn't even notice or care. But I have some problems with haters stalking me and sending anything I do to any kind of professional contacts I have that they know of. That includes blatant lies usually, because there's not that much on me to criticise. That's the problem of being at least a little known in certain, mainly political, circles.

You will get to see at least a couple of the shots, because even though they're nude they're not blatantly so. But a couple of others, well... That, I will have to consult with others on before publishing. 

I know I've been a bit inactive around here for about a year now. That's been partly due to me having a different job during nine months, partly because I seemed to lose some of my inspiration for interesting photos. During that time, though, I did take a couple of hundred portraits for my work, although most of them were pretty boring in my opinion. For use on web pages and the like, having to look strict and professional. No real room to be creative, I'm afraid.

But, after moving along from that temp job, I've bought myself a new camera, a Canon EOS 6D. Hello, full frame! I already love it dearly. Also, I've begun dating a guy who is also an artist, and who loves to be my model. We inspire each other and talk about different ideas for artwork. This has really got me going again, both the inspiration we provide and the fact that I'm dating a really smart, cute, sexy and nice guy has been instrumental in getting my creativity going for real again.

So, stay tuned for more of my artwork – there will be lots of it from now on, I'm sure.

Oh and also, I've started earning money by doing commissions and stuff, mostly portraits. This means I've lost the "amateur" part and now simply call myself a photographer.

Well, finally got a few new photographs up here. This time the theme is political. I accompanied Info Belarus in a political action, protesting the dictatorship in Belarus and showing support for the opposition movement there. The protest was made by gagging statues all around the Swedish capital Stockholm and taking pictures of it. It has apparently made quite a few people in the opposition movement in Belarus happy to see, and since dictatorship is always wrong, I am happy to have been part of the protest.
